Top tier list

Top champions ranked by the win chance each adds over the average top. The model takes out who plays it (mastery, rank, games on the champion) and the rest of the draft. A champion full of one-tricks gets no credit for their skill.

Win rate lies explains why this isn’t in win-rate order.

Strength comes from a model on 50,990 games with all ten players known. On games it wasn’t trained on, it picks the winner 57% of the time. That’s about as well as anyone can predict from a draft and its players. The biggest player effects it takes out (in win chance): each tripling of games on the champion +5.0%, a main +4.5%, a one-trick +3.4%, champion in their top 3 +3.1%, Master+ against Diamond +2.3%, Platinum against Diamond −1.7%. Mains add is how much more the champion’s mains win than its other players. That’s its learning curve. Win rate, picked and games come from the picks and results of 50,990 ranked games.

Many games come from the match histories of players we follow for one champion. Their own slot counts for no champion. That way a one-trick we follow doesn’t inflate their champion’s numbers. The other nine players count as usual. Picked is the share of all games where a team played the champion in this role.

How the tiers are made

This mark means strength. It’s the win chance a champion adds over its role’s average once we take out who plays it.

Champions are ranked on the win chance they add over their role’s average champion once we take out who plays them. A model on every game with all ten players known accounts for each player’s mastery, rank and games on the champion, and for the rest of the draft. So a champion doesn’t look stronger because one-tricks play it, or weaker because first-timers do. Tiers: S from +2%, A from +0.75%, B from −0.75%, C from −2%, D below. The “% likely” next to a tier is how likely the champion belongs in it. Under 50% means it sits near a tier border.
