Patches 16.19–16.20

How the draft shapes the early 2v2

Pick your jungler, their mid and their jungler to see how the first scuttles usually split, who hits level 6 first, and the mid + jungle gold gap. These numbers come from 129,650 games on patches 16.14–16.20. That’s a wider window than the rest of the site (16.19–16.20), which gives each pairing enough games. The draft sets the starting odds. How the game is played decides most of the result. How it’s made

First scuttlesFirst scuttlesHow often your side takes both first scuttles, one, or neither.

Both
14%
One each
73%
Neither
12%

Your side takes both scuttles about as often as usual. The enemy gets both 10% less often than usual.

Usually: both 14%, one each 73%, neither 14%. Riot’s data gives how many each team took, but not which came first.

Level 6Level 6How many seconds before their counterpart your player hits level 6, for an average pairing.

Your jungler+3 s3 s before theirs
Sylas+4 s4 s before theirs

The draft moves a jungler’s level 6 by about 15 s either way, and a mid’s by 7 s. Game to game, a jungler’s varies by 60 s and a mid’s by 41 s. When a mid hits 6 late, it’s usually down to waves and recalls. The matchup is rarely the reason.

Mid + jungle against theirs

Gold at 5:00Duo goldYour mid and jungler’s gold minus theirs. A kill is worth about 300.+28
Gold at 10:00Duo goldYour mid and jungler’s gold minus theirs. A kill is worth about 300.+29
Gold at 14:00Duo goldYour mid and jungler’s gold minus theirs. A kill is worth about 300.+13
Kills − deaths to 10:00Kills minus deathsYour mid and jungler’s kills minus their deaths before 10:00.+0.3

The draft moves this by about 300 gold either way. From game to game it varies by about 1,300. A kill is worth about 300 gold.

What it’s worth

Each table shows how often a team won depending on how each of these went for it, and how far that sits above or below its draft odds (53,719 games, every champion). Scuttles and level 6 pay off mostly through gold. Once you know the gold at 14, they add little.

Everyone or mains

Mains are players whose #1 mastery champion is this one. We know the mastery of 717,000 ranked players from Platinum to Challenger. That covers about half the players in our games. Below 1,500 games by mains, the mains view shows what they pick next to everyone’s verdicts. From 1,500 games on, every number is the mains’ own.
